Happy Easter!!

We had such a wonderful, relaxing Easter Weekend! Which is exactly how I would want to officially kick off my maternity leave. And it was such a treat to find out that Nick had an unexpected Sunday off!
I was so excited to kickoff the weekend with dying eggs... But apparently I was alone in this. Who's child is this that doesn't want to dye eggs with his Mommy??

I was also able to complete and send out Thank You's to all the guests that attended our shower last weekend. I was so grateful to send our love and appreciation to all those that showered our little girl with so much love.

On Saturday we headed on over to North Hills for their annual Easter Extravaganza! Shane had so many eggs in his basket that as he ran around hunting for more the ones he had already collected kept bouncing out of his basket. It was too funny!

After the egg hunt the kids gather around in smaller groups and take part in learning about how God making the ultimate sacrifice in Jesus dying for our sins and rising again!!

Uncle Kevin and Chrissy stopped by after they came back from Tamales Bay and showed us some of the clams they got... Gross!

While Shane as out and about at his BFF's house (next door) I had a mini brain storm session and decided to fill his larger eggs with Mommy love coupons for his egg hunt the next morning. I can admit that I get caught up in the hustle and bustle of keeping house that it is hard for me to break away and live in the moment with my big guy.

The Easter Bunny made his awaited arrival... But Shane was in no hurry to wake up! In fact I fell back asleep waiting for Shane to roll out of bed and when I awoke he had already found all the eggs hidden about the house and was making his self at home with his new goodies.

We went outside later on that morning for another hunt, but this time in the rain!!

Which shortly after the hunt turned into quite the hail storm! The trampoline makes an excellent catch all and was soon completely white and FILLED with hail. How fun!!

Shane found a use for his new "Easter suction cup toothbrush." How clever that one.

A friendly little competition while I cook dinner, which consisted of roasted asparagus, scalloped potatoes (with ham) and NY steaks.

While we let our tummies rest from our meal I decided to tackle the tissue pom poms I have been planning on putting up in the nursery.

And since "National Pie (3.14) Day" I have been dreaming of a slice of pie so this Holiday weekend seemed like an ideal time to nip that little craving in the bud!

From our family to yours, we hope you all are surrounded by love. He has Risen!!

A shower for our precious little girl. *picture overload.

Our shower was this past Saturday, March 23rd. Family flew in from Florida to help and celebrate as well as all of our out of town CA loved ones!

The weather could not have been anymore gorgeous! My sweet friends were so kind, Courtney for opening up her home, Tania for decorating, setting up and preparing so many different types of food and Auntie Christina for putting together her FAMOUS 7 layer dip, organizing party games as well as prizes and gathering up the CUTEST favors I could have ever dreamed of!

*the following pictures are not mine, but are from various guests.

Nick and I had a great time and the love for this new little bundle was overwhelming beautiful. We are so blessed that so many people came out to share in her upcoming arrival!

34 Week Update

Pregnancy: 34 Weeks!! Our Shower is this coming Saturday and I feel like it's my birthday! So fun to be able to see my loved ones and catch up!

Weight Gain: 12lb

Sleep: Somehow waking up 2 hours after falling asleep and feeling completely refreshed is NOT the business!

Gender: Baby Girl

Name: ;)

Feelings: Like this is my last week of WORK!!! Which I will miss but I am so exhausted by the end of the day that the extra rest will be such a treat. Currently it takes from Thursday night until Saturday evening for my ankles to go back to normal just from work.

Health: At my 34 week visit my BP was 117/70 and it was decided between  my Dr's that we would no longer be needing NST's.

Movement: She rolls all over! But no distinct arm and kicking type movements.

Belly: I did not get a measurement at my last check-up but it wasn't brought up either. I'll try to look into that on my next visit.

Nursery: Practically complete. I have washed all of her clothes 3mns and under. Framed her prints and purchased new curtains. I need to get on making her crib skirt and valance now that I have that fabric too!

Next Appt: April 1st

Family News: Basketball season is well under way for big brother who is currently enjoying a relaxing 2 week Spring Break!

32 week update *super late

Pregnancy: 32 Weeks, NST's were started and so was our Childbirth class every Tuesday night for the month of March!

Weight Gain: 10lbs 4oz

Sleep: Still waking up so terribly early :( And of course falling back to sleep moments from my alarm going off.

Gender: Baby Girl

Name: ;)

Feelings: Her room is coming together and it is such a blessing.

Health: Watching my BP and trying to remember to take prenatals.

Movement: This little one is so gentle. She rarely jabs and constantly seems to battle with the hiccups. I find them to be so apparent but poor Daddy swears he can't feel them.

Belly: Currently measuring two weeks behind per Dr. Who also feels that she will be around 6lbs at birth.

Nursery: Prints were ordered and sheets were sewn this week!

Family News: Shane has taken up Saxophone lessons... I'm fairly certain this is the LOUDEST instrument out there.
